If you want a small LiFePO4 power station for camping, a CPAP or keeping the Wi-Fi up during an outage, the ALLPOWERS R600 vs EcoFlow River 3 Plus matchup comes up again and again. Both pack roughly 300Wh, both put out 600W of AC power, and both recharge from the wall in about an hour. The differences are in the details: ports, weight, the app and whether you can add capacity later. We compared specs, expert testing and owner reviews to sort it out.

The short answer
Buy the ALLPOWERS R600 if you want the most capacity and ports for the money, plus a wireless phone-charging pad, and you don’t mind a louder fan when fast charging. Buy the EcoFlow River 3 Plus if you want a lighter, quieter, more polished unit with a third AC outlet and the option to snap on an extra battery later. Our overall pick is the River 3 Plus for most people; the R600 is the value pick.

Design and weight
The two take different shapes. The R600 is a tall, upright box with a carry handle and physical buttons that are easy to press even with gloves on, and it has a wireless charging pad on top for a phone. The River 3 Plus is lower and squarer, closer to a lunchbox, and at about 10.4 pounds it is the lighter of the two. EcoFlow also lists an IP54 rating through some retailers, which adds some confidence around dust and splashes at a campsite.
One caution on the R600: ALLPOWERS has sold more than one version over the years, and older reviews describe a heavier unit with extra DC barrel ports. The current listing is lighter and drops those barrel ports, so check the product page before you buy if you need them.
Winner: EcoFlow River 3 Plus, for its lighter weight and more compact footprint.
Ports and output
On paper the output is nearly identical: 600W continuous with a 1,200W surge rating on both. Both have two USB-C ports capable of laptop charging at up to 100W and a 12V car outlet. The River 3 Plus adds a third AC outlet, which matters when you want to run a router, a modem and a lamp at the same time. EcoFlow’s X-Boost mode can also run some resistive devices rated above 600W, such as a small kettle, at reduced power.
The R600 answers with faster USB-A ports and the wireless pad, though reviewers note the pad doesn’t line up well with some newer phones because of the camera bump.
Winner: EcoFlow River 3 Plus, for the extra AC outlet and X-Boost.
Battery, charging and solar
The R600 has a little more capacity (299Wh vs 286Wh) and a higher cycle rating. In expert testing, the R600 delivered roughly 250Wh of usable AC energy, which is a normal efficiency loss for this class. Both recharge from a wall outlet in about an hour. The R600 lets you choose a slower, quieter Mute charging mode, which is handy overnight in a tent or bedroom.
Solar input is rated at 220W on both current models, so a single 200W panel is a good match for either. The River 3 Plus has one big trick the R600 lacks: you can attach an EcoFlow extra battery (286Wh or 572Wh) for up to 858Wh total, with no cables between units.
Winner: EcoFlow River 3 Plus, because expandability outweighs the R600’s small capacity edge.
UPS and home backup
Both can sit between the wall and your gear and take over in under 10 milliseconds when the power cuts out. That’s fast enough for most routers, modems and desktop PCs. Independent testing of the River 3 Plus found connected gear stayed on through repeated unplugging, which is a good sign. The R600 also offers pass-through charging and a sub-10ms switchover, though we found less long-term testing of that feature.
Winner: EcoFlow River 3 Plus, on the strength of more documented UPS testing.
Noise and app
The River 3 Plus is quiet in normal use, with reviewers measuring under 30dB at moderate loads; the fan only becomes noticeable during fast charging. The R600 is also quiet when lightly loaded, but its fan is loud in Fast charge mode. EcoFlow’s app connects over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, so you can check the battery from another room. ALLPOWERS’s app is Bluetooth-only and requires an account, and reviewers found it clunky, with an unreliable time-remaining estimate.
Winner: EcoFlow River 3 Plus.
Value: ALLPOWERS R600 vs EcoFlow River 3 Plus
This is where the R600 earns its place. It usually sells in the budget tier, often below the River 3 Plus, while offering slightly more capacity, fast USB-A ports and a wireless pad. ALLPOWERS also runs frequent sitewide codes through its own store. If you’re buying one small station for a car or occasional camping trips, the R600 gives you a lot for the money.
Winner: ALLPOWERS R600.

What owners say (ALLPOWERS R600): Buyers like the price, the quick wall charging and the strong USB-C ports. Complaints focus on fan noise during fast charging, an unreliable runtime readout and mixed experiences with customer support.
What owners say (EcoFlow River 3 Plus): Owners praise how quiet and light it is and how well it keeps routers and PCs running during outages. A few report unexpected shutdowns related to timeout settings, and some dislike how much personal information the app requests.

Which should you buy?
- Weekend campers and car travelers on a budget: the ALLPOWERS R600. It charges phones, laptops, lights and a CPAP for a night, and it usually costs less.
- Home backup for internet and a desktop: the EcoFlow River 3 Plus. The third outlet, quiet operation and well-tested UPS make it a better fit beside a router.
- Anyone who might need more power later: the River 3 Plus, since you can add an extra battery instead of buying a second station.
- Light sleepers using it in a tent or bedroom: either works at low loads; the R600’s Mute charging mode helps when recharging overnight.

- Jackery Explorer 300 Plus: about 288Wh in a much lighter package (around 8 lb), but with a 300W AC limit.
- BLUETTI EB3A: 268Wh with 600W AC and two outlets, and very fast charging when you combine wall and solar input.
- Anker SOLIX C300 DC: 288Wh with no AC outlets, built around two 140W USB-C ports, for people who only charge laptops and phones.
FAQ
Can the ALLPOWERS R600 or EcoFlow River 3 Plus run a CPAP?
Yes, for a night in most cases. One review estimated about 5 to 6 hours for the River 3 Plus with a roughly 45W CPAP and the humidifier off; the R600’s similar capacity should land in the same range. Runtime drops sharply if you use the heated humidifier, so check your machine’s power draw and its manufacturer’s guidance.
Can I use them while they’re charging?
Yes. Both support pass-through charging and act as a basic UPS, switching to battery in under 10ms if wall power drops.
Will they run a refrigerator?
A small mini fridge, yes, for a few hours. A full-size refrigerator can surge well beyond 600W at startup and would drain a 300Wh battery quickly, so look at a 1kWh-plus station for that job.
Can I bring one on a plane?
No. TSA limits spare lithium batteries to 160Wh, and only with airline approval. At around 286-299Wh, both are well over that limit.
